It's been a busy few weeks for us here at Sunday Best - we're in the midst of buying season. So although Spring/Summer collections have just landed in store, we're already looking ahead to Autumn/Winter 17 which seems madness, but in reality, that's just how far ahead we have to make our buying decisions!
Jan visited Copenhagen Fashion Week and came back with a host of trend ideas from the brands and people she came across on her trip...
Just in COPENHAGEN checking out the Danes and their style of dressing. They have incredible feminine style. THE STATEMENT SLEEVE was worked into dresses, shirting and knitwear. From deep double cuffs,to cuff ties,to bell sleeves and rouching.
A colour that seemed to stand out wasyellow a rich deep mustard shade. From joggers to knits and outerwear. Not the easiest colour but when it is on trend we forget all the rules and rationale of "do I suit the colour"? So one piece in the colour of the moment as a high lighter , will do the trick.
Lofina shoes are a favourite with all the SB team and they showed the rubber sole leather boot in deep yellow. Plus, style-savvy Victoria Beckham was spotted out shopping in London this month wearing mustard flared trousers. So if it's good enough for VB, perhaps mustard has to be at least worth a consideration.
7/8th trousers skimming the ankle, showing off boots and shoes are still a part of our staple wardrobe and this will take us safely into the new spring season. The androgynous trouser with a cuff hem and soft pleating, can be mixed with the super feminine shirting with statement sleeves and trainers and look uber cool.
